STAR-T Alliance

The STAR-T Alliance is a collaborative network created to bring together tourism operators, local suppliers and the partner Chambers from Tekirdağ, Malatya and Basilicata around a shared commitment to sustainable tourism. The Alliance supports cooperation across the tourism supply chain and encourages environmentally responsible business practices, local sourcing and stronger links between tourism enterprises and local producers.

The project aims to engage 80 participants in the Alliance, including 50 tourism operators and 30 local suppliers. Through the STAR-T Alliance Platform, members will be able to access project resources, participate in learning and mentorship opportunities, discover other Alliance members and build new connections across Türkiye and Italy.

About the Alliance

The STAR-T Alliance is designed as a long-term cooperation framework rather than a one-time project activity. It creates a common space where tourism businesses, local suppliers and Chambers can exchange knowledge, share sustainable practices and explore new forms of cooperation.

By joining the Alliance, members become part of a network that promotes eco-friendly operations, local sourcing and environmentally responsible practices throughout the tourism supply chain. The Alliance also supports cross-border cooperation and helps members benefit from the knowledge, resources and experience generated through STAR-T activities.

Key aims of the STAR-T Alliance:

  • Bring tourism operators and local suppliers into a common sustainable tourism network
  • Strengthen cooperation between businesses in Tekirdağ, Malatya and Basilicata
  • Encourage environmentally responsible operations and local sourcing
  • Support knowledge exchange, mentorship and practical learning
  • Create new business and networking opportunities across the tourism supply chain
  • Build a cooperation network that can continue beyond the project period

The company profile structure will support networking within the Alliance and complement other STAR-T activities such as B2B meetings, mentorship and sustainable supply-chain cooperation.

Through this area, members can continue conversations initiated during project activities, exchange information and explore potential cooperation opportunities. In this way, the platform supports the project's objective of maintaining continuous interaction and knowledge-sharing among tourism operators and Chambers.
